The City Council consists of seven members. The Council exercises all of the legislative and policymaking powers of the City and provides for the performance of all duties and obligations imposed upon the City by law.
Four Council members are elected every two years for 4-year terms, with the lowest vote-getter receiving a 2-year term. The Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem are elected by the City Council from its own membership at the first December meeting of each year for the following year. |
